CAF Seattle's December Monthly Meeting - Learning about how to make new laws
Youth and adults alike gathered together for Climate Action Families’ (CAF) Seattle’s December 2023 meeting at Jackson Place Cohousing in Seattle to enjoy food, sing and learn about how laws are made in Washington state.
The meeting started with a few songs by the CAF All Together Now music team. They got everyone singing and moving their bodies to the music!
After playing an energizing and competitive game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, we all participated in a theater production about how laws are made in Washington state. Each person was given a character to embody and chose a costume/prop from the box. We were transformed into state representatives, senators, the Governor, and more! The bill we tracked was one we are advocating for this year- – a bill to bring clean electric school buses to WA. We had such a great time that we want to do this exercise again.
